HTC Could Ask Bose To Reduce Size Of BoomSound Speakers

It looks as though Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC might want to take a closer look at its BoomSound speakers that has seen action in the likes of the HTC Butterfly S and the HTC One M8 – that is, by further reducing the overall size as well as making the bezels smaller than ever before in order for it to fit a more generous One display. The lengths in which they will go to? They might actually enlist the help of the folks over at Bose to help rework the next generation of BoomSound speakers.

Apparently, this alleged team up has been tasked with reducing the overall size of the existing HTC BoomSound amplified stereo speakers set, with one of the end results being the overall reduction in size for both top and bottom bezels.

If the bezel of a smartphone ends up thinner, then it would mean HTC has the ability to squeeze in a larger display, which will no doubt be a given in future and upcoming flagship handsets. After all, shrinking bezels seem to be the trend these days, which makes sense really, since one will no longer need to worry about an increasing chassis size as that would remain the same, and yet users of the smartphone would have something larger to show off its contents.
