The display will measure a whopping 138-inches big and basically displays a huge Google Maps where people can use it to find their way around. It also comes with a small stand, which you can see in the image above, that comes with a microphone attached to it. Using the microphone, users will be able to input voice commands into the map to help them look for locations and places of interest.
The interface provided by Google will be pretty familiar to those who have used Google Maps or Google Now as they appear to be more or less the same, just bigger. However according to the folks at Engadget, it seems that the microphone has a pretty hard time trying to listen to what you’re saying thanks to the huge crowd that typically gathers around Shibuya.
However if you’re in the area and don’t mind taking it for a spin, you should probably go check it out as this is only a temporary installation by Google. Pretty cool, huh?
