Gmail Helps Make Unsubscribing Easier

Gmail has done its fair amount of work to remain relevant to our email needs ever since it was first released as a beta to the masses – and it does not look as though they are going to stop anytime soon. In fact, the latest update from Google would be to include an “Unsubscribe” link, as you can see circled in red above, whenever there is a spam or marketing email that sneaks its way into your Promotions, Social or Forums message segment.

This particular “Unsubscribe” link will be located right right next to the sender address, which makes it highly visible – and empowering you to perform an unsubscription each time you feel that such emails are clogging up your inbox in the long run. Of course, the placement is also highly strategic, since it does not get in the way reading the spam should you want to find out just why someone from halfway around the world needs your help in order to retrieve part of his or her inheritance that numbers in the millions of greenbacks.

Basically, once you are done reading the spam, and would like to remove your email address from the particular spammer’s list, doing so is but a single click away. At least this means you need not spend time looking for a way to unsubscribe within the email itself, which can be pretty frustrating at times.
