Given the Nikon D700’s popularity, we’re sure many are wondering if they might eventually be able to expect a spiritual successor to the camera, which more often than not functioned as a second body to the Nikon D3. Well if that’s what you were hoping, you could be in luck. According to recent rumors via Nikon Rumors, the camera in question could be the Nikon D750 and is rumored for an announcement at Photokina 2014.
The specs and design of the camerae have yet to be officially announced, but so far based on the rumors, here’s what photographers can expect for now. For starters, the Nikon D750 is rumored to sport a 24MP full frame sensor. It is also expected to feature a tilting LCD display and will come with WiFi support which should aid the transfer of photos and videos wirelessly to another device.
It has also been rumored to sport the Expeed 4 imaging processor and will be a lightweight camera. Some have compared it to the Nikon D610 in terms of weight, so if you’d rather not slight a heavy camera around your neck all day, then perhaps this could be the camera for you. It is also rumored to be priced around $2,500.
Photokina will be kicking off from the 16th to the 21st of September, so if you’d like to learn more about the Nikon D750, do check back with us then where hopefully we will have additional official details to share with you guys, until then be sure to take it with a grain of salt for now.
