Evolution Studios’ Driveclub was supposed to be a launch title for the PlayStation 4 when it came out last year but the game had to be delayed. It will now launch later this year as a PS4 exclusive. Since the delay was finalized a lot of information has been revealed about the title. There’s more to share today as Game Director Paul Rustchynsky took to Twitter and revealed more information about the title ahead of Gamescom 2014 where we expect the title to make an appearance.
Rustchynsky tweeted that Driveclub for PlayStation 4 won’t support stereoscopic 3D or head tracking through the PlayStation Camera. Those who have been anxiously to get their hands on this game would hardly be bothered about it not supporting stereoscopic 3D or head tracking.
To provide them with a much more immersive experience the team behind this title is now “looking into” creating custom sound profile for PlayStation Gold Headset, like the ones created for inFAMOUS: Second Son as well as The Last of Us Remastered.
The Game Director also mentioned on Twitter that the drifting sounds cars make on asphalt will vary according to the weather at any given time during play and that all of the videos related to the title released up till now merely show an early work in progress.
Hopefully we’ll have some great footage to view from Gamescom, PlayStation 4 owners have high expectations from Driveclub.
