It was just last week that Blizzard officially released Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition, which for those unfamiliar is basically the Diablo 3 expansion for consoles. It seems that gamers in the UK were particularly looking forward to the game because according to retail monitor Chart-Track, it seems that Diablo 3 managed to take the number one spot in the UK during its launch week.
The majority of gamers who bought the game had bought it for the Sony PlayStation 4 console at 47%. 32% of gamers bought it for the Xbox One console, while 13% bought it for the Xbox 360, and the remaining 8% had bought it for the Sony PlayStation 3 console. It’s interesting to see that most gamers seem to be buying the PS4 version of the game, especially considering that the frame rate and resolution of the game is the same on both the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
That being said, titles such as The Last of Us Remastered was toppled by Diablo 3 and fell to number 2 after spending three weeks at the top. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare came in a number 3 which was a jump of 12 places thanks to its PS4 and PS3 release.
Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition came in fourth place, Call of Duty: Ghosts in fifth, Watch Dogs in sixth, Minecraft PS3 Edition in seventh, The Lego Movie Videogame in eighth, Grand Theft Auto 5 in ninth, and Tales of Xillia 2 in tenth place.
