Destiny is one of the most highly anticipated titles that will be released this year. Gamers around the world are anxiously waiting for it to be released. We only have to wait for a couple of weeks now but it wouldn’t hurt if we were able to download the game ahead of its release date. A listing was recently spotted on Xbox.com which hinted at the possibility that Xbox One owners will be able to pre-order and pre-load Destiny before its release next month.
The listing has since been taken down however it was captured in due time. It mentioned that Destiny pre-load will be possible but gamers will only be able to play it at 12:01 am PT or 3:01 am ET on September 9th, which is the official release date of Destiny. File size of the title wasn’t mentioned in the listing.
So far Microsoft and Activision haven’t confirmed if Destiny pre-load will indeed be offered on the Xbox One. The feature itself has already been confirmed for the Xbox One and FIFA 15 as well as Forza Horizon 2 were named as the first titles to feature pre-load. However EA’s Madden NFL 15 took that crown by being the first to offer pre-load on this console.
Destiny pre-load has already been confirmed for the PlayStation 4. Owners of Microsoft’s rival console will be able to download the title come September 7th. Though it will only be unlocked on the actual release date.
