Cyanogen And Nextbit Working On Something “Really Cool”
When a company like Cyanogen comes together alongside Nextbit, with both of them making a statement of intent by touting that they are working on something that is “really cool”, it would be best to remain on the edge of your seats since they do happen to have a pretty decent track record of keeping people happy, what with Cyanogen’s range of Android mods over the years. It seems as though Scott Croyle, who was once HTC’s SVP of Design, left the Taiwanese company to spend time working on a new project by joining up with Nextbit. Does this mean that the link up between Cyanogen and Nextbit would include working on a new smartphone, tablet, or even better yet – both?
Cyanogen, the custom ROM developer, has mentioned on its Google+ page that they are looking out for some CyanogenMod users who are willing to test out something “really cool.” Before you can be part of this top secret project, however, you will need to fill up one of those pesky surveys that requires you to declare whether you are a proud owner of a Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 device, in addition to agreeing to wipe your handset clean should you be selected to participate in this Alpha testing.
