For Call of Duty franchise fans, you might be looking forward to the latest instalment, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, appear on your favorite gaming platform, which should not be a problem at all if you happen to be rocking on to one of the following – the PC, Sony PS4, Sony PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Apparently, one name is conspicuously missing from the list, and that would be the Nintendo Wii U. Developer Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be giving the Wii U a miss this time around.
In an explanation from Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey over Twitter, the reason that there is no Wii U version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is attributed to “an Activision decision.” There you have it, and know whose office to picket if you own a Wii U from Nintendo and yet would still like to see Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare make an appearance on your console. In the past, it has been Activision who confirmed Call of Duty games when it comes to Nintendo platforms, and even the Wii received Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, albeit being a few months after the same game was released on other platforms.
@1422644 no, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.
