While there is a whole lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming BlackBerry Passport smartphone, make no mistake about it, BlackBerry does not look as though they are about to bet the entire farm on a single smartphone release. There is yet another device that has received certification, where it is known as the BlackBerry P’9983. Of course, any device from BlackBerry that carries such a model number would fall under the Porsche Design range, so it would not be too far off the mark if one were to describe this as the BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983.
From the certification itself, it is rather difficult to come up with any kind of additional information, other than to say something that just about everyone else already knows – it is already at the final stage of being approved to see action on Indonesian networks.
As for the purported hardware specifications, knock yourself out, as some have already stepped forward to point to a dual-core 1.7GHz processor with 3GB RAM, accompanied by 64GB of internal memory, with a 3.5” touchscreen display, and perhaps even a look that will be reminiscent of the BlackBerry Classic. Whatever the case is, the BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 ought to follow in its predecessors’ footsteps, that is, being really expensive.
