According to a sighting at the FCC (via PhoneArena), a certain ASUS K007 model was spotted. What made this particular ASUS tablet a bit more interesting than the others is the fact that it is powered by an Intel Atom Z3560 Moorefield processor. The Moorefield chipset was announced earlier this year and has been optimized for the Android operating system.
While FCC filings typically don’t reveal the full specs of the device, this one does. According to it, the ASUS K007 tablet will feature an IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1200×1920. It will also pack a 5MP rear-facing camera, a camera for the front, the usual Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS connectivity, and will come in either 16 or 32GB storage options.
Now this isn’t the first time we’ve seen ASUS launch an Intel-based tablet but so far ASUS has yet to announce a tablet that matches this one, so we guess we will just have to wait for ASUS to make the official announcement.
