Android Lemon Meringue Pie Spotted On A Nexus Tablet (Rumor)

It does look as though the upcoming version of Android, which is also known as Project L by some quarters, while other folks have called it Lemon Meringue Pie, has been spotted running on a Nexus tablet. Yes, you read that right – the Android L framework which was introduced by Google alongside the new Material Design language earlier this year most probably made its bow on a Nexus tablet that was manufactured by the folks over at ASUS.

This Lemon Meringue Pie Android build was given the codename LRW50D, where “L” here would mean Lemon Meringue Pie, while “R” stands for the code branch which the build originates from. This is followed by the “W” that points to a Q3 2014 release, and last but not least, 50 would be the days that have passed into the quarter – and “D” would stand for the fourth edition for the similar day. Spotted running on a device that was given the moniker “New Nexus 7,” it could probably point to an ASUS-manufactured Nexus tablet which was introduced to the masses last summer.

Chances are Google is putting Lemon Meringue Pie through the paces for the last few bits of testing, and we cannot wait to see an official release of the “New Nexus 7” and for Lemon Meringue Pie itself.
