Back in June, Blizzard announced the winner of their Azeroth Chopper series. The winner, for those who might have missed the episodes, was the Horde, after which Blizzard also announced that the mount would be redeemable in-game for Horde players from now until the 30th of September.
Based on that, it certainly sounds like the Alliance faction got the very short end of the stick. Well if you’re an avid Alliance player and don’t want to switch to the Horde just for a mount, you will be pleased to learn that Blizzard has officially announced that they would be bringing the Alliance chopper into the World of Warcraft game as well!
Now this hardly comes as a surprise since we’re sure Blizzard would have wanted to appease gamers of both factions. However here’s the kicker – while the Horde chopper is a free mount that is redeemable, the Alliance chopper on the other hand will cost gamers in-game gold. Blizzard did not specify how much gold it would cost, but did mention it would be a “hefty sum”.
We suppose thankfully they did not try to sell it for real-world money otherwise we reckon many players would be in an uproar over it, but if you’re a little short on gold and you really want the chopper, we guess you should probably start saving. The launch of the mounts is expected to take place after the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion has been released.
