Earlier this morning, we were talking about how Microsoft has decided to sell the Kinect sensor as a standalone peripheral for the Xbox One console, and while there was no concrete date of when this particular Kinect sensor will go one sale then, here we are with an official availability date from the folks over at Microsoft – that is, October 7th.
When October 7th rolls around in the near future, those who are interested in augmenting your Xbox One experience with the Kinect sensor will be able to do so. And to sweeten the deal, those who decided to take this route will also find an accompanying title known as Dance Central Spotlight, which is the most recent version in the dance series from developer Harmonix, as that particular title will arrive in the form of a digital download while carrying 10 hot tracks to get your booty moving and grooving.
The Kinect experience is far more than just using your body as a controller, as it will also include voice and gesture controls, a biometric sign-in for a greater level of security, instant personalization, instant scanning of QR codes, and enhanced features that will only be made available with Kinect in games including Kinect Sports Rivals, Dead Rising 3, and Project Spark, among others.
