Touted to be the first of its kind in the world, the Zcan is no 3D scanner, but it does hold the distinction of being the world’s first wireless scanner mouse – assuming it is realized, of course. The mouse will be integrated with a scanner, where it shows off a truly new method of scanning the likes of documents, books, and magazines, among others, so that users can swipe easily in a zigzag motion across what they would like to keep for posterity. Each completed scan will allow users to import it straight to Excel and text, allowing them to be editable, or it can be shared to social pages or translated to speech.
With a funding goal of $30,000, the Zcan certainly looks as though it is worth an investment for those who want something different where a mouse is concerned.
