Flurry happens to be an analytics firm that Yahoo would like to have as part of their arsenal, considering how there is fierce competition in this area from the likes of Google and Facebook as Yahoo works to improve on its advertising business
The mobile app analytics firm Flurry is said to be purchased for an undisclosed sum, although industry insiders to speculate that it should be somewhere in the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Scott Burke, Yahoo’s head of advertising technology, shared, “When completed, our acquisition of Flurry will be a meaningful step for the company and reinforces our commitment to building and supporting useful, inspiring and beautiful mobile applications and monetisation solutions. Our combined offerings will enable more effective mobile advertising solutions for brands seeking to reach their audiences and gain unique insights across desktop and mobile.”
