After quite some time there’s reasonable buzz about an upcoming BlackBerry handset. The company has already given us a look at the BlackBerry Passport which is destined to be released this September. It hasn’t detailed its specifications or features as yet but rumor has it that the device’s QWERTY keyboard offers more than meets the eye. Apparently the entire keyboard functions as a trackpad. The unusual design of this device also contributes to the hype around it. A concept of the white BlackBerry Passport has been posted online and many BB fans think it looks good.
BlackBerry’s smartphones don’t really come with many color options though the company has often offered its flagships in both white and black. It has only shown off the Passport in black but CEO John Chen has confirmed that a white version of the Passport will also go up for sale.
So a concept of the BlackBerry Passport in white was created by @Pootermobile. It was immediately picked up BB fan sites and the reaction seems to be positive. Even though the concept might not be a true representation of this smartphone in this particular color, something is at least better than nothing.
BlackBerry aims to appease its enterprise customers and long-lost customers with two devices this year, the Passport and the Classic. It remains to be seen how well they perform in the market and if they help the company out of its financial slump.
