Verizon Moto X Receives Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update

It goes without saying that a soak test is more often than not a precedent to an actual update release for a particular device. It makes plenty of sense after all – since it is always better to make sure that a particular update works well with a small sample of users, before it is publicly released to the masses. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has appeared in a soak test for the Verizon Moto X slightly more than a week ago, and it seems that the full update release has already happened – which means that all went well in the soak test.

Apart from that, Verizon has also posted a changelog concerning the Moto X’s Android 4.4.4 update over on its support site. In this particular document, it does detail the update to say that the camera will feature improved camera picture quality, the ability to capture improved photos in fluorescent lighting, an enhanced dynamic range, the ability to pause video recording, as well as a pause/resume button located on the finder.

The Phone Dialer, too, will receive a new graphical layout and colors, alongside improved consistency and usability. With this push for Android 4.4.4 KitKat, hopefully we will be able to check out additional carrier variants of the Moto X be on the receiving end of Android 4.4.4 KitKat in due time.
