Verizon Launches HTC One Remix

At last the wait is finally over. Verizon today confirmed the launch of HTC One Remix, the smartphone we have been hearing about for a couple of months now. The device is essentially an HTC One Mini 2 which was launched earlier this year, Verizon just chose to slap different branding on it. Those who pick one up can expect to get their fair share of Big Red logos on the device.

Even though this device looks a lot like the HTC One M8 it doesn’t match up in terms of specifications. The HTC One Remix has a 4.5-inch 720p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. There’s no Ultrapixel Duo Camera thing going on here, it has a simple yet robust 13 megapixel rear camera.

There’s also a 5 megapixel front facing camera for all your selfie needs, while dual front speakers with HTC BoomSound aim to provide an enriching audio experience. One Remix is fashioned out of metal just like its high-end sibling. The device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat installed which includes HTC’s Sense 6 user interface customizations.

Starting tomorrow the HTC One Remix will be available through Verizon’s website and stores for $49.99 with a two year contract. Verizon Edge program is available for eligible customers who want to upgrade.
