A little over a week ago, accessory manufacturer Spigen announced that they would begin taking preorders for the iPhone 6 cases. This is a bold move by the manufacturer as the final design of the phone still remains to be seen, unless you were to take into account all the recent leaks that we have been seeing.
That being said, Spigen has recently uploaded more photos of its cases onto Amazon, thus giving us a look at the iPhone 6’s design. Of course we can only assume that Spigen is basing their renderings and their case dimensions on the previous leaks and alleged schematics, but we have to admit that it is a pretty good mockup and could be indicative of what’s to come.
Interestingly though, Spigen’s mockup shows that Apple has retained the True Tone flash, but based on all the leaks we’ve seen in the past, the flash unit cutout has been circular, not pill shape, suggesting that either Apple has come up with a new type of flash design, or they have decided to get rid of the True Tone flash.
In any case Spigen’s listing seems to be for the 4.7-inch model. There is no mention of the 5.5-inch model, although based on what we’ve heard, the 5.5-inch model could be delayed due to production issues and might be extremely limited in quantity at the start. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of Spigen’s mockup?
