This did not take too long – what is known as the self proclaimed “world’s best selfie smartphone”, the Sony Xperia C3, has already appeared on a benchmark, paving the way for the masses to check out just how well it will be able to hold its own against the rest of the smartphones that are in the market. Of course, since there are no other dedicated “selfie” smartphones in the market, it can be a tricky thing to find a common base, but it does seem as though the Sony Xperia C3 is all set to be a mediocre mid-range handset.
Sporting a 5.5” display at 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with a pixel density count of 267ppi, the Sony Xperia C3 will run on a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor at 1.2GHz, has 1GB RAM, an 8MP shooter with a Sony Exmor RS sensor behind alongside a 2,500mAh battery. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Sony Xperia C3 managed to garner a score of 17,703, which pretty much places it on the same plane as the Motorola Moto G, the Google Nexus 4, and the Samsung Galaxy S3.
There you have it – this will in no way be able to break into the upper echelon of smartphones, so make sure you capture great looking selfies to soothe yourself knowing that one of these days, you will be able to afford a high end handset like the rest of your mates.
