For those who have pre-ordered their Samsung Gear Live, you might be interested to learn that while the device has yet to make its way to the masses, it seems that Samsung has already issued an update for the smartwatch. The update is by no means a major one and will still retain the same version, which is Android 4.4W.
The firmware will be KMV78V and it appears that the update is more of a bug fix than anything. Samsung has yet to detail what sort of changes have been made in the update, but like we said its a pretty small update that should address some of the bugs in the device, so perhaps that’s all there is to it.
Now if you’re lucky enough to own a Samsung Gear Live, you will be able to check for its update by going to the menu, head down to Settings, scroll to About, then System Updates to see if there is an update waiting for you to download. Other than that we guess for those who pre-ordered the device, the watch should have the update preinstalled by the time it gets to you, hopefully. Either that or you can check for the update manually when you receive the device to see if there are any additional updates you might have to install.
