Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 Launched By Verizon

The largest member from Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 family is the new addition to the tablet lineup that Verizon has on offer. The carrier today formally announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. It is available for purchase online starting today and will make its way to the carrier’s stores by tomorrow. Its a mid-range tablet with a 10.1-inch display and compatibility with Verizon’s nationwide LTE network.

As far as specifications are concerned the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is no powerhouse. It has a modest 1.2Ghz quadcore processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The 10.1-inch display has a 1,280×800 pixel resolution.

Customers will also find a microSD card slot, 3 megapixel rear and 1.3 megapixel front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 6,800mAh battery onboard. The software comes with Samsung’s enhancements which includes features like Multi Window, allowing users to run two apps simultaneously on the tablet.

The tablet is pricey, Verizon asks $359.99 upfront with a two year contract. Those who don’t want to sign a contract can have it outright for $459.99. It is also available on the Verizon Edge program for $22.90 per month, the device cost is split over 20 months and customers can upgrade after 30 days if at least 60 percent of the device’s cost has been paid off.

As previously mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 can be purchased right away from Verizon’s website. The carrier also offers the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.
