Cameras are tool used by photographers to take photos. Some of them have been designed to weather the worst weather conditions, such as extreme dust, extreme cold, water immersion, and in some cases even against heat. However if you’re looking for a camera more for collection and light photography, then you might be interested to learn that Ricoh has recently announced the Pentax K-3 Prestige Edition.
The camera will be pretty much the same as the Pentax K-3, and the differences that one might expect will be mostly aesthetic. So what can photographers expect from the Prestige Edition? Well for starters the body of the camera and its battery grip will be finished in a high-grade gunmetal gray coating. This has been done on purpose to match the colors of the interchangeable lenses.
There will also be a specially designed camera strap made of artificial leather and embossed with the lettering “2014 TIPA BEST DIGITAL SLR EXPERT” and the Pentax K-3 logo. The bundle will include two additional batteries for both the camera and the battery grip, and will come with the latest firmware preinstalled in the camera. According to Ricoh, the Prestige Edition will be limited to 2,000 units worldwide and will be priced at $1,399.95 each, so if you think you wouldn’t mind a special edition camera, then why not?
