A recent survey showed that Pebble is one of two companies ruling the U.S. smartwatch market. That didn’t come as a surprise since Pebble smartwatches really are quite popular and some of the best performing wearable devices available in the market right now. Its millions of users will be pleased that a new Pebble firmware update has been pushed out. An update for the companion iOS application has also been released.
The Pebble firmware version 2.3 update has been rolled out over-the-air and is available for all Pebble smartwatch models. Pebble’s latest firmware update brings the usual slew of stability improvements as well as improved Bluetooth LE connectivity. It adds a new feature which will allow users to skip a notification with a double-click.
This new feature lets users quickly jump to the next notification when the one they’re viewing at that particular moment requires scrolling to view the entire content. A double-click of the button is all that is needed to skip ahead. If the notification is small enough that it shows on Pebble’s display then a single-click will take users to the next notification.
Pebble iOS application gets a minor update which pushes version number to 2.2.2. It enables more JavaScript applications to be available in the Pebble appstore. Apps that are included in this latest software bundle will be fully downloadable.
