We have been hearing a lot of rumors surrounding Apple’s iPhone 6, but one of the bigger questions remain, and that is when can we expect the iPhone 6 to be released? We had heard back in May that the 19th of September is a possibility, and that date was echoed in a recent rumor as well.
However according to a recent rumor from the Chinese media, it seems that the iPhone 6 could be launching on the 25th of September instead. We’re not sure if they’re talking about a release in China or worldwide, but we’ll take it with a grain of salt for now. Interestingly enough despite the rumors suggesting that Apple could do away with the 16GB model, they claim that the 16GB model will remain, except that it will only be for the 5.5-inch model.
The 4.7-inch model, however, will start from the 32GB model but will be priced the same as its 16GB predecessor which we guess is good news for would-be customers. They go on to state that the 5.5-inch model could also be referred to as the iPhone Air, which sounds like Apple could be borrowing the naming scheme from their own iPad.
Now some of their claims seem to contradict what we’ve heard earlier, but these are still rumors at the end of the day. It should also be pointed out that the 25th of September is a Thursday and Apple typically makes product launches on Fridays, so there’s some discrepancy there. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info.
