Minecraft Pocket Edition Gets “Biggest Update EVER!”

For those of you who have been rocking to Mojang’s Minecraft Pocket Edition on your respective mobile devices, here is a little something that might just pique your attention. Mojang themselves are buzzing with excitement, touting that this is the “biggest update EVER!“, considering how the Minecraft Pocket Edition version 0.9.0 will be procedurally generated – in other words, the worlds will be infinite.

Other than that, the worlds too, will also carry a whole lot more stuff within compared to the past. Expect to see the addition of caves (will there be a Batcave?), plenty of new flowers, new biomes (such as mesas, jungles, swamps and extreme hills), not to mention abandoned mineshafts, villages, and other places that are worth exploring to sap away your time in the real world from exploring actual lakes and caves around you. New beings, too, will inhabit the various digital nooks and crannies within, ranging from wolves to endermen, and Mooshrooms.

Needless to say, new blocks are also part of the mix, such as Monster Eggs and massive mushroom blocks. Mojang has also thrown in a new “interaction” button that ought to prevent one from punching something by accident, and this update for Minecraft Pocket Edition is available on Android and iOS platforms.
