One of the appeals of a Polaroid camera was the fact that you could get your photos printed straightaway. There was a certainly novelty about holding your photo in your hand right after you took it, although with smartphones and digital cameras, we can see our results instantly. Lomography recently launched something similar back in May called the Lomo’Instant.
It was basically a camera that could take photos and print them instantly, but at the same time offer up the weird and wonderful effects and colors that have been associated with Lomography cameras. The Kickstarter project was considered a hit and for those who missed out on it, you will be pleased to learn that the Lomo’Instant is now available for pre-order and is expected to begin shipping by the 14th of December.
The Kickstarter project was only seeking $100,000 in funding, but due to its popularity, it had managed to raise over $1 million by the time the project closed. The camera will offer up different effects like fisheye and color gels to give your photos weird and funky colors, and will also offer long and multiple exposures.
If the Lomo’Instant sounds like a camera you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on, you can head on over to Lomography’s website where you will be able to place your pre-order for it. The prices will differ depending on which model you go for and will range from $119-$169.
