LG Hooks Up With Android Auto

It seems that Android Auto, an in-car operating system that Google calls their own, will be able to help bridge a gap between the Android-powered smartphone as well as your for wheeler, at least up to a certain level. This particular system is being worked on by the Open Automotive Alliance (OAA) whereby LG happens to be the first among all of the other major smartphone manufacturers to hop on the OAA group. This would place LG among the company Audi, General Motors, Hyundai, Honda, and NVIDIA.

At the recently concluded Google I/O 2014, LG did show off their range of new audio, visual and navigation (AVN) system solutions that catered for connected cars. Their advanced AVN system is tipped to hit the market some time next year, where drivers will then have the benefit of hooking up their Android-powered device through a single cable to vehicles that have Android Auto, letting one access their smartphones’ features and functions in a jiffy. This would also mean one can view and control their favorite smartphone navigation apps, or perhaps to perform a search their mobile phone’s contacts in order to chat with someone or to send text messages using the in-car display, now how about that?
