jawbone upSo if the rumors are to be believed, Apple could be working on the iWatch and one of the highlights of the device, apart from the ability to display notifications, would be its health features. The watch is expected to include a variety of sensors, such as a UV exposure sensor, heart rate monitor, and so on.

Of course all of this remains a rumor for now, but in the meantime if you were looking for a health-related wearable, you might be pleased to learn that the Jawbone UP has gotten an update in its app, bringing more health-related features to the wearable. The app will now include features designed to focus on food-related goals.

For example there is a weight management feature that will allow the user to set goals regarding their weight, so all you’d have to do is log your food intake, calories, weight, and so on and the app will keep track of it for you. Of course weight does fluctuate depending on the type of exercise that you do, but if you’re considering going on a diet, then perhaps this could come in handy.

The food experience has also been designed and will now log your water intake, restaurant menus, common food pairings, and so on. There is also a food score function that will rate the healthiness of a particular dish. If you have yet to update your app, you can do so by heading on over to the iTunes App Store for the download. The Android version has yet to be updated.
