Huawei C199 Certified By TENAA

huawei-c199Huawei has seen their Honor H60 hit the TENAA website earlier this week, where TENAA happens to be the China equivalent of our FCC, as consumer electronics devices have to go through a certification process in order to make sure that it is safe for the masses to use it when it is finally released. Having said that, another smartphone from Huawei has just hit TENAA, and that would be the metal-clad Huawei C199.

The Huawei C199 will feature a rather generous 5.5″ display at 720p resolution, and will run on a HiSilicon Kirin 920 chipset that hails from Huawei’s very own manufacturing line. The chipset itself will be inspired by ARM’s big.LITTLE design that sports a quartet of Cortex-A15 cores as well as a similar number of Cortex-A7 cores, in addition to Mali-T628 MP4 graphics that ought to deliver quite a performance. Other hardware specifications include 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat running right out of the box.

At the back lies a 13MP camera, while there is a front-facing 5MP for those great looking selfies. Expect the Huawei C199 to be made available from China Telecom with an expected launch price of CNY 2,000 ($320), although that remains to be confirmed as at press time.
