It does seem as though there is some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel for HTC as the Taiwanese company does look as though they are about to make a significant comeback. After all, we did mention that the HTC One M8 has pushed the company into profit, which is not surprising considering the good work done in that flagship that turned the perception of the masses around in favor to HTC. Well, the HTC Desire 616 happens to be a new dual SIM handset that was first introduced in China (after seeing a photo of it leaked earlier), but it has since made its way across North Asia, South Asia, China and Russia.
In other words, the HTC Desire 616 does look as though it is going to be a China exclusive, since there are no concrete plans at all right now to roll out the Desire 616 anywhere outside of the Asian region. Just what kind of hardware specifications does the Desire 616 pack underneath the hood?
For starters, this 5” smartphone will run on an octa-core 1.4GHz processor, where it will be accompanied by a 2,000 mAh removable battery, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, an 8MP shooter at the back, a 2MP front-facing camera, and depending on which part of Asia you reside it, the final price will differ. A ballpark figure would be $240 thereabouts though.
