According to Windows Phone 8.1 users, they have started to notice prompts on their phone where they are asked to add nearby suggested places to Cortana’s Notebook of features. For those unfamiliar, the Notebook is one of Cortana’s features where it will keep track of things that it has learnt about you so far.
This is one of the features of the voice assistant program that Microsoft claims will make it feel more human, like a real-life assistant who knows what you want and what you need at all times. The suggested locations will basically be locations around the user which have been deemed popular and will include bars, restaurants, and places of interest.
Users who want to learn more about these places can simply tap one of the cards which will then automatically launch the Foursquare app to show more details about the location. If you have Windows Phone 8.1 on your phone already, perhaps this could be a feature worth taking a look at.
