It was at the end of last year that we brought you word on how Fitbit could see an app roll out on the Windows Phone 8.1 platform in due time, and since it is now close to the end of July, we are pleased to bring you word that this particular app has finally launched, once again going to show that good things do come to those who wait. The Fitbit for Windows Phone 8.1 app has been a long time in coming, but better late than never, right?
Just in case you were wondering, Fitbit happens to be a company that churns out wearable technology that will work to deliver information for fitness tracking, health management and sleep monitoring, and it is no surprise to hear that its wristbands happen to be one of the most popular around in the market.
Fitbit did not hold back when they were working on this particular Windows Phone 8.1 app, where it comes with full support for wireless data sync over a Bluetooth connection, cloud back-up when it comes to your data, the ability to check out your history of fitness information, and presentation of information in the graph format so that one can take in all the gathered data in an easier way. The Fitbit app will also be able to keep track of how much you have chowed down in the whole day, making it all the more useful. However, it is unable to synchronize data in the background so the app needs to remain open in order to do so, but this can be remedied in a future update.
