Console manufacturers often bundle their hardware with hotly anticipated games in order to boost sales. The price tends to appeal people who’re in the market for a new console while offering them the ability to play a game that’s generating quite a bit of buzz. Driveclub was initially supposed to be a launch title for the PlayStation 4 but the console was released on time in November last year and Driveclub’s release was pushed back. The game comes out later this year and Sony today revealed a Driveclub PS4 bundle.
So far Sony has only confirmed that the Driveclub PS4 bundle will be available in Europe when the game launches later this year. It hasn’t said if its going to be released in the U.S. or not so we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.
The bundle is going to cost €439.99 and will include a PlayStation 4 console, one DualShock 4 controller and one physical copy of Driveclub. Local retailers in Europe will start taking pre-orders for this bundle soon enough.
Driveclub is claimed to be an “innovative, socially connected racing game,” and president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida says that it will offer what has previously not been achieved in this particular category.
Never mind the fact that Driveclub has been delayed by almost a year, surely PS4 owners will appreciate that no more delays are on the cards for now, and Driveclub will finally be released on October 7th, 2014.
