If you love your video games, you might recall that we have covered a YouTube channel for a video series called Man At Arms. For those hearing about it for the first time the blacksmith, Tony Swatton, has forged weapons from video games like The Legend of Zelda and God of War. Well it looks like Swatton is back and this time around, he has forged none other than the iconic and legendary sword, Frostmourne.
This is a name that will no doubt be familiar to gamers of the Warcraft franchise. Just in case you don’t play the game or have forgotten the lore, Frostmourne is a sword that is associated with the Lich King character, who was previously known as Arthas. If you’ve watched Warcraft or World of Warcraft cinematics, chances are you’ve probably seen the sword wielded more than once.
Now unfortunately due to the fact that Swatton’s take on Frostmourne isn’t magical or has the ability to absorb souls, it does not feature the glowing eyes which are found in the hilt of the sword, but it doesn’t make it any less cool. Just like previous Man At Arm videos, Swatton takes us through the process of drawing up the sword and its measurements.
There are multiple processes that Swatton has to go through and it seems that he does not skip on the details, going as far as inscribing the runes in the sword’s blade itself. The end result is a huge sword that is incredibly sharp, as we can see in the video where it is able to slice through a watermelon cleanly multiple times. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, check out the video above for the details.
