That being said, the folks at BlackBerry have recently detailed additional features of the upcoming phone. For starters, BlackBerry has revealed that the Passport will pack a whopping 3,450mAh battery, meaning that you should have enough juice to last you the entire day and then some! According to the company, “No other smartphone or phablet on the market today has a battery that large.”
BlackBerry has also revealed that the Passport will come with four microphones built into the phone. Why four, you ask? Well apparently it is so that it can pick up ambient noises in the background and help the phone adjust its audio levels in real time, so you don’t have to fiddle with the volume controls while on the phone because it will do it for you.
“The aim is to provide an experience that is as close to an in-person conversation as possible,” according to the company. The post also claims that the audio levels on the Passport will be of tablet-level, meaning that it will be loud, so for those who enjoy watching movies on their phones without headphones, perhaps it will be able to do a good job using its stereo speakers.
So far we have to say that the Passport is shaping up to be a pretty cool handset. No word on when BlackBerry will be officially launching the handset or how much it will be priced, but we are looking forward to learning more about it and if it can live up to its hype.
