The AT&T-bound ASUS PadFone X which was announced at the beginning of this year before going global just last month might be pretty new to the market at this point in time, but this does not mean that the Taiwanese company behind the PadFone X is going to rest on its laurels. No sir, apparently, Taiwanese website Focus Taiwan claims that both ASUS and AT&T are working on a next generation model of the PadFone X.
Could this cause for optimism be due to the fact that sales of the PadFone X on AT&T has been deemed to be satisfactory to those in suits? Perhaps, and we do not have any details on what the next generation ASUS PadFone X will be like, although it would be a pretty decent bet to say that it too, will comprise of a smartphone as well as a tablet dock – otherwise it would not be too much of a successor to its predecessor, don’t you think so?
Apart from that, we are also stoked to see what kind of specs will ASUS improve on the next generation PadFone X compared to the existing Android 4.4 KitKat-powered model that sports a 5” Full HD display, a 9” tablet dock, a 13MP camera at the back, a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 2,330 mAh battery on the smartphone while the dock itself comes with its very own 4,990 mAh battery.
