Apple’s New iPod Touch Now Available In International Markets

Just last week Apple launched a new iPod touch. The device isn’t “new” per se, but rather a 16GB version of the current iPod touch that will pack a rear-facing camera as well. It has also been priced at a somewhat reasonable $199. At the time of announcement, the device was limited to the US market, but the good news is that if you were looking forward to getting your hands on it, you might be pleased to learn that Apple has since rolled the device out to international markets.

The countries included in the rollout are United Kingdom, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Brazil, and China, just to name a few. The differences in currency as well as different taxes applied in different countries, the price of the iPod touch will be different from country to country. For example over in the UK it has been priced at £159, while over in Hong Kong it has been priced at HK$1,588, both of which when converted are a bit more expensive than the $199 price tag.
