Android Wear is definitely gaining steam, including obtaining support from the IFTTT. Well, this companion app would allow you to hook up and manage your new LG G Watch or Samsung Gear Live, depending on which side of the fence you lean on between the two South Korean manufacturers, and hence with the Android Wear app now available, the level of excitement would increase if you are about to own either one of two devices.
It is said that the LG G Watch will ship within two days of ordering, while the Samsung Gear Live will ship by this coming July 8th from Google Play. LG’s G Watch is a wee bit more expensive at $229 a pop, with the Samsung Gear Live retailing for $199. Regardless, with Android Wear, both smartwatches are said to offer a uniform user experience.
The Android Wear user experience will be similar all the smartwatches that run it, and when hooked up, one will be able to set up the kind of functions that will send alerts to you on the watch, alongside controlling voice action preferences. Right now, there are approximately six apps that are ready and waiting to go, with more to arrive in due time.
