It was reported that up to three million LG G2 smartphones could have been sold as of December 2013, and we could actually expect to look at higher sales numbers for the LG G3. There were whispers in the past that LG has plans to ship a minimum of 10 million LG G3 smartphones worldwide this year, and just last week alone, LG did announce that the company had already shipped a grand total of 14.5 million smartphones in Q2 2014 – although it remains to be seen how many of the 14.5 million units shipped were the LG G3.
With the iPhone 6’s arrival being imminent, will the LG G3 be able to hold its own it the popularity stakes? Analyst Sophia Kim believes so, citing that Samsung would most probably be hit a whole lot harder with the release of a next generation iPhone instead.
