In this day and age, whenever a new smartphone or tablet comes out, you can be sure that there will be some crazy person who will try to blend or destroy the device in question, while others would take up the challenge of removing the parts in order to find out how easy it is to repair whenever something goes wrong. The Amazon Fire Phone apparently costs just $205 to build, and when you are to compare that to the Samsung Galaxy S5, it is a whole lot more affordable since the Galaxy S5 costs $256 to build, but amazingly the iPhone 5s clocks in at $199.
Apparently, Amazon has managed to save some bit on the display module, and more often than not, display modules happen to be the most expensive component. Amazon’s Fire Phone costs $27 a pop, while the Samsung Galaxy S5 will cost $63 for the 1080p display.
It does not look as though the Amazon Fire Phone has impressed too many parties, with most reviewers pointing out that the only saving grace that will help the Fire Phone stand out from the rest of the crowd would be its quartet of dynamic perspective cameras. We do wonder how the masses will accept the Amazon Fire Phone in the long run.
