Alleged iPhone 6 Battery Surfaces, Reveals 1,810mAh Capacity

ip6battery3We can only assume that as we speak, Apple is working on getting the iPhone 6 ready for a release in the next few months. The rumors are claiming that the phone will sport a larger display, a new design, and will be even thinner than its predecessor. We have also heard potential battery sizes ranging from 1,800mAh up to 2,500mAh.

Well now thanks to a recent report from Nowhereelse.fr, it seems that they have managed to get their hands on a photo of what they are claiming is the battery for the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6, and as you can see on the label, it shows that the battery has a capacity of 1,810mAh. Assuming that this photo is the real deal, it more or less confirms the previous rumor, and it is also a slight upgrade of the iPhone 5s’ 1,560mAh battery.

However we should note that while it is an upgrade, it is not a significant upgrade. In fact most Android phones these days have batteries over the 2,000mAh mark, so it will be interesting to see if Apple’s iOS software will be able to take advantage of the battery and make it more efficient.

In fact a recent survey revealed that iPhone owners would much prefer a larger battery in their iOS devices rather than a larger display, but like we said, Apple controls hardware and software with their devices, so for all we know, it could be an optimized experience, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
