According to id, “This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our Annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation. We’ll have plenty more to show everyone at a later date, but we didn’t want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years.”
We’re not sure how long id plans on maintaining the exclusivity, but it seems that if you wanted to check out some footage from Doom and learn more about the game, you’ll have to rely on verbal descriptions, at least until id decides to make it public knowledge. The event itself is free to attend although gamers will have to pre-register. It will be taking place from the 17-20 July in Dallas, Texas, so if you’re in the area, you can try pre-registering for access if there are any slots still available.
