Earlier this year, Acer announced the Liquid Jade smartphone and the Liquid Leap fitness band. Well if you’re looking forward to either device, you might be interested to learn that the Liquid Leap is expected to see a launch in August, while the Liquid Jade’s launch remains unknown. However it seems that an improved version of the Liquid Jade Plus has been pegged for an August launch as well.
According to the report, the Liquid Jade Plus is a slightly upgraded version of the Liquid Jade. It will feature 2GB of RAM which is an improvement over the 1GB on the Liquid Jade, and will also have its default storage bumped from 8GB to 16GB. Other than that both phones are expected to remain identical in terms of its specs.
This means that users can look forward to a 5-inch 720p HD display and dual SIM capabilities. There will be a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor under the hood, a 2,100mAh battery, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera, with Android 4.4 KitKat topping it off. It is expected to be made available in Germany in August where it will be priced at €279.
As for the Liquid Leap, it will also be launched in August where it will be priced at €99. Unfortunately Acer did not mention if and when would be bringing the Liquid Jade, Liquid Jade Plus, or the Liquid Leap to the US, but either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
