5.5-Inch iPhone 6 And New iPads Will Enter Production This September [Rumor]

For a few months now we have been hearing rumors that the iPhone 6 will be unveiled in September. Apple is expected to release two models, one with a 4.7-inch display and the other with a 5.5-inch display. However recently some conflicting rumors have come in, claiming that the latter will be released at a later date. Chatter from supply chain sources now suggests that Apple has pushed the production of 5.5-inch iPhone 6 as well as the next generation iPads to September, which means they will be unveiled towards the end of 2014.

One might have thought that at least both new iPhones would be unveiled at one single event, that’s what Apple did last year with the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. But considering how this might be the biggest change to the iPhone franchise ever since it was released back in 2007 Apple may decide to put some space between both iPhone models.

The iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 are both expected to be unveiled at the same event. A recent report claimed that the next generation iPad mini is going to be 30 percent thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Both tablets will receive new processors, and the iPads may even get Touch ID fingerprint sensors.

Since these rumors come from unofficial sources one must be careful not to take them at face value. Only Apple knows it plans for sure so we’ll have to wait for official word from the company.
