September is going to be a great month full of music for folks in London. Apple today announced the 2014 iTunes Music Festival lineup. There will be a total of 60 acts throughout the month of September at the Roundhouse in London. Tickets are available for free through a lottery system. However those who can’t make it to London to watch the performances live and tune in to the action through iTunes, iOS devices or Apple TV.
iTunes Festival returns to the UK for its eighth year in 2014 with artists such as Maroon 5 and Pharrell Williams headlining. Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Kylie, Blondie, Sam Smith, Beck, 5 Seconds of Summer, Chrissie Hydne and many more will perform at the festival.
Ever since the inaugural festival took place at London’s Institute for Contemporary Arts in 2007 more than 430 artists have performed in front of over 430,000 fans, with millions tuning in using the company’s devices. In the past the festival has played host to performers like Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and more.
As previously mentioned the tickets will be given out through ballots on iTunes. Local media partners across the globe will run competitions for the tickets. In the UK competitions will be run by Global Radio and the London Evening Standard.
