It is understandable that with next-gen consoles, gamers are expecting developers to deliver the best looking games possible. This means that not only does the game have to look good in terms of graphics, but native resolution and framerate has to be good as well, since resolution helps makes graphics appear to be sharper, and framerates determines how smooth the game is running.
Now the good news is that if you were looking forward to Assassin’s Creed Unity, you might be pleased to learn that its developer, Ubisoft, will be targeting a resolution of 1080p and a framerate of 60fps for both the Sony PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One. This is actually pretty good news since developers are usually able to deliver 1080p for the PS4, but have to compromise on resolution a bit for the Xbox One.
However given the Assassin’s Creed Unity was designed for next-gen consoles in mind, and that Ubisoft does not have to think about developing it for last-gen consoles, we guess it would be possible for them to create a game that is in 1080p and 60fps for both consoles. The game is expected to see a release later this year, on the 28th of October, to be specific.
The game will also be released for the PC, although for the PC its resolution and quality will really depend on your hardware configuration. So, who’s looking forward to getting their hands on Assassin’s Creed Unity?
