When Apple introduced iOS 8, we’re sure many iOS users out there were like “Finally!” when it was revealed that third-party keyboards would finally be supported. This meant that if you weren’t happy with the default iOS keyboard, you can now do something about it.
Now previously we mentioned that popular keyboards like SwiftKey and Fleksy will be releasing their keyboards for iOS, and now it looks like another popular Android keyboard has been announced for iOS as well.
The keyboard app in question is TouchPal. As it stands TouchPal has about 150 million downloads around the world, so safe to say it is one of the more popular keyboard options available at the moment. According to TouchPal, they are boasting that they will be the first third-party keyboard to offer sliding input, next word prediction, and more, although we’re not sure how accurate those claims are, especially since keyboards like Fleksy offer something similar.
Now if you were wondering how TouchPal’s keyboard will work on your iPhone, they have released a video showing off the keyboard in action. Based on what we can see, it looks more or less complete, although since this is an iOS 8 feature, users will have to wait until the release of iOS 8 later this fall if they want to get their hands on it.
