The company unveiled the Roccat Sova at E3 2014 last week. For those who might have missed out on the news, the Roccat Sova is essentially a modular wireless keyboard and mouse combo. As you can see in the image above, both the keyboard and mouse can be rested on a single base that allows you to use both peripherals comfortably on your lap. This will most probably beat trying to balance a keyboard and mouse separately, especially if you’re playing from the couch.
According to Rene Korte, Roccat’s CEO and founder, “Sova is the option for gamers wishing to expand their arena without sacrificing gaming experience. Platforms like Steam are fantastic, but the experience can be devalued by the lack of adequate gaming equipment. Gamers who wish to stream PC games to a living room television will no longer need to put up with latency issues and can now experience couch gaming at its fullest.”
The keyboard itself will be a mechanical keyboard, so gamers who prefer the mechanical option will be pleased to hear about this. Unfortunately the Sova is currently more of a prototype than an actual product, but Roccat is still looking for customer feedback so if you have something you’d like to suggest or lend your voice for support, head on over to Roccat’s website for the details.
